Preparing For Your Session

PREPARING YOUR SPACE

  • Privacy. Find a quiet space  where you will not be disrupted and where your body can relax. Sometimes we make some sound in this work, so it might be helpful to have a pillow to muffle it if you’re worried about anyone hearing you.
  • Props. You will want some padding or cushioning under you (couch, bed, or yoga mat with blankets)  Please have some blankets nearby, as body temperature can fluctuate in this work. An eye mask or bandana (to block out light) would be a good idea too.  If you have a sensitive low back, you might also consider propping several pillows or a meditation cushion under your knees.
  • Comfort. Please feel free to come as you are. You can wear your pijamas, you can wear your scrubs. Or perhaps you feel inclined to wear “ceremonial” clothing. All is welcome.
